WR Cortez Lewis Of Wake Forest Becomes Handshake King

Wake Forest came together for the first College Football 2015/NCAA 2015 Preseason first team meeting and assistant coach Asil Mulbah saw something that   he had never seen before. Cortez Lewis, redshirt freshman receiver stood as he was standing in a receiving line, greeting everyone with their unique handshake. When asked how many handshakes he had, Lewis responded by saying at least 50, and this is what started the viral message that Cortez Lewis handshakes.

The short clip that the assistant poste don twitter was selected by football fanatics and re-tweeted at least 2,600 times. As demand for more videos increased, Mulbah assembled a two minute video showing the wide series of handshakes that Lewis had with his teammates. As If that was not enough, Lewis stated that he had more handshakes with basketball players and his classmates as well. When asked again, he said he had no idea of the number of handshakes he has with people, all what he knows is that they are more than 50.

Losing one’s mind does not seem impossible, considering the number of people   that find Lewis’s handshakes to be interesting. What makes him special is that each handshake is unique and he is able to remember each one of them. Lewis said that the handshake comes to mind when he sees the person. He further said that this was a ritual he had started back when he was in high school, but it had not escalated to this extent. Back then they were just a few handshakes with teammates and friends, but that has turned into a viral phenomenon.

In his second week in the wake forest, Lewis decided to handshake with   cornerback Merril Noel, which was an amazing way to start a cool handshake. The coolest handshake and one that Lewis stated was his best, is 1:20 minute with the tailback James ward. The video posted on twitter closes with special shakes from Kevin Higgins receivers.

All these handshakes may intensify expectations in the College Football 2015/NCAA 2015 field, where Lewis will have a much bigger role.
