Argos Prepared To Host Riders At Rogers Centre

After a busy schedule that saw the Argonauts play their first 5 games on the road, the team is  now set to host the Roughriders at the Rogers center. Although this is the second game that the Argos is playing at home, it will be the first game to play in a familiar territory. Toronto Argonauts opened the season playing against the Eskimos in Fort McMurray and were listed as the team that was at home.

The Argos expressed their happiness in playing at home and being able to sleep on their own  beds without having to worry about rising up early in the morning so that they do not miss the   plane. Trevor Harris said

It’s nice that we’ll be able to play in front of our fans.
He further continued to say that

We’re excited about that and excited to bring our game to Toronto and hopefully bring home a win for them. It’s going to be a good atmosphere and we’re just excited to be home.

The Argos are coming off a couple of matches that saw them move down by over twenty points   within the first half. Although they managed to get a win over the lions, the game they played   last week against Ticats did not have the same results.  One part of their game that could use   some help is the rushing attack.  Scott Milanovich, the head coach admitted that he was aware of   the Attack problem, but did not hesitate to say that it was hard to implement that at the moment   considering the number of players that are out with injuries.

The Argos will be without Chad Owens as he has been sidelined with an ankle injury. However, this should not worry the Argos, considering what the rookie trio of Kevin Elliot, Vidal Hazelton and Tori Gurley has been able to do during the league’s first year.

If the upcoming game comes anywhere close to what happened when the two giants played last, then the fans are in for a great game. The Roughriders only managed five points.
