Eddie Royal Is Compared To Wes Welker by Bears OC Adam Gase

Eddie royal is going to play a very big role for the offense of the Chicago Bears in NFL 2015. This veteran receiver is going to work out of the slot mostly with the lights of Marquess Wilson, Alshon Jeffery & rookie Kevin White, probably on the outside. Adam Gase, their offensive coordinator went far to compare Eddie royal with Wes Welker, who is referred as one of the best in slot receiving of this era.

Adam gas pointed out that both the players have similarities in route running and sharp vision and also added that in case of top-end speed Royal has more than walker. He said that the special explosiveness   Eddie have is not available in lots of guys. He further emphasized that he is threat in all three levels. He is capable of coming underneath, he can break through intermediate and finally he is capable of getting down the field, which will be crucial for NFL 2015. Earlier gas has worked with Welker for the last two seasons in Denver. As a position coach he also worked with Royal before in 2011.

Royal on the other hand has downplayed this comparison made by Gas. He said that it is a total different  case and both of them could run the same route but it will seem totally different because both of them have different styles. The only thing similar is that they both always find ways to get open. It seems quiet hard for him to keep them both in the same page because he thinks Wes is unlike anyone and he is quiet unorthodox in his way of running the route. It is not possible to copy that and Gas is capable of giving something extra as an offensive. Bear is hoping that Royal will give same pop like gas to remade Chicago’s offense for NFL 2015.

This twenty nine years old receiver has been a showing a standout performance in the training camp for NFL 2015. So he will get lots of plays in NFL 2015 as White will be unavailable for them in early season due to shin injury.
