Reilly is on his way to recovery for CFL 2015 season

The superstar Mike Reilly from is back on pitch for CFL 2015. According to Edmonton Eskimos, Mike   Reilly will return for practice. Though he will do practice for a limited capacity but still it’s a good news for the fans of Edmonton Eskimos. The club has already sent a statement which confirm that Reilly is still on his track for recovery. The statement also said that Reilly will attend in the partial practice within limited capacity as a part of rehabilitation. It will take approximately 10 to 12 weeks for his return. But it is confirm that he is doing progress on schedule.

This Edmonton star is out since the second week of the season opener game against Toronto Argonauts. He faced torn posterior cruciate ligament. Not only this but partially effected by torn medical collateral ligament and medical meniscal tear on his knee in the first week. Overall it was a serious injury and he has missed 6 games.

The injury was happened during the match in Fort McMurray in CFL 2015 league. Medical staffs helped  him to walk out from the field and took him to the locker room. Later on Sunday team management confirmed about his injury and stated that he will be miss the next games. The team announced exactly these words

‘Medical tests have confirmed Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly sustained a torn posterior  cruciate ligament (PCL), a partially torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) and a medial meniscal tear in his left knee.’

Also they confirmed that it will take at least 10 to 12 week for his recovery. In that fourth  quarter match Toronto Argonauts was defeated by 26-11. Fans think that if Reilly had finish the match then the score would be different. But nothing can change the final result.

During Reilly’s injury Matt Nichols made his way back to the starting team. Also he showed a great form  in his last matches.  Matt helped Edmonton to reach a new record of 4-2. He is really doing well in the offense. Right now he is expecting to start as the quarterback at least until Reilly fully recovers his injury. This CFL 2015 is Nicholas’s third season.
